How much will it cost me? How long do many visits will it take to “fix” my problem?

Here you are, you are struggling with relationship or personal difficulties, you are most likely experiencing emotional pain, frustration anger and sadness. You have done all you can think of to resolve the issue and yet the problems persists, you are unhappy, possibly asking yourself: “will it ever change?” “Is there hope for my relationship? . You concluded that you cannot solve the situation on your own and decided to reach out to a professional and open up to her and share your personal and intimate story.

How do you choose a therapist? Is it primarily about:

Finding the best specialist in the area of your concerns; someone who has much training experience, or is it
The cost involved and whether or not you can utilize your insurance to pay for it?
How long will it take? You most likely do not want to be in therapy “forever”..

Let’s face it.; concerns about finances, or time commitment are important. No one I know has unlimited funds. Even the wealthy among us have variety of financial obligations and bills to pay. And most people I meet need to work and have bills, child care responsibilities and or social obligations.

My clients know that I work very hard to succeed in helping them heal reach their relationship goals I understand that therapy requires time and financial commitment both of which we have limited supply..

Therefor I am focused on making every moment that we are together productive. I do not waste time. Thus, most importantly I want you to be sure that I am indeed the best therapist for you and your individual concerns. I do not want you to waste your precious time or financial resources if we are not a good match.

To make the right decision for yourself ask yourself the following:

1. How much is my happiness worth to me?
2. How important is it for me to be in a relationship where I “get the love I want?” Or am free from the torments of anxieties depressions fears, anger low self esteem?
3. What am I willing to do and how much effort, work a and financial resources am I willing to commit to, in order to fix my situation?
4.What will happen to me, my relationships, my children my finances , my performance at work if I don’t fix it? Or if the situation gets worse? If my relationship breaks apart? If I cannot perform at work?

Now that you have taken time to seriously reflect on the above questions you are ready for answers.

If you are looking for the cheapest therapist, I am not a good fit for you. I am not the cheapest therapist in town nor am I the most expensive one. However, I do give some consideration based on individual circumstances and work with my clients on a treatment plan that includes an appointment schedule that is sensitive to their financial situation.
The minimum length of my sessions is a full hour (60minutes) rather than 45-50 minute “hour” that is the common practice. This is to insure that you have time to fully explore your feelings and thoughts.
I do my best to help you get insurance reimbursement by filing insurance claims for you or providing you with all paper work required. Be aware however that in order to receive insurance reimbursement a diagnosis of mental illness is required.
I do not take insurance assignments directly.
I believe that therapy should not last for years and years. If the approach is effective you should feel relief and gain new skills in a short period of time. Our success depends on the work we each do in the session and your follow up between sessions.
Average number of visits to see true results is 8-10. Some succeed in shorter time others need additional sessions. Sadly, some individuals choose to terminate treatment prematurely, when they feel some relief or if they experience discomfort as they are learning new skills. These individuals keep searching for new therapists and spend more money and still fail to achieve lasting change.

Emotional and relational difficulties impact on our physical health, general well being and finances. It is proven to be one of the factors for serious life threatening illness like heart attacks strokes, gastrointestinal issues, migraines and even to create susceptibility to getting cancer. There is no need to continue suffering, there are solutions to your situation.

LOVING AND RESPECTING YOURSELF MEANS WILLING TO DO THE WORK REQUIRED TO GET THE LIFE YOU WANT .
